ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safety of crews and personnel - promote, enforce, and develop extremely strong safety culture.
  • Assist field supervisors with hiring and retention of qualified field personnel.
  • Have full knowledge of scopes of work/systems/products used across all divisions.
  • Continuously train and champion continuous improvement of field operations to ensure quality of project is second to none.
  • Develop and implement Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute (SWRI) validated training programs for all scopes of work performed.
  • Develop and implement ABAA Certified Installation program for Air Barrier.
  • Develop a tracking mechanism for all field certifications.
  • Develop systems for field tracking and real time metrics for field production.
  • Follow and convey all company policies to field employees.
  • Develop best management practices/efficiencies/standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all field related operations and materials.
  • Problem solves field related issues with team members.
  • Read & interpret plans & communicate the work plan to the crew.
  • Attends jobsite and coordination meetings with owners and architects.
  • Coordinate with project management to establish scope of work and sequence for each job.
  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable the field supervisor direct reports.
  • Complete special projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 10 years field experience in joint sealants, waterproofing, or other division scope.
  • A valid driver's license is required and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • OSHA 510, or willingness to obtain in first year of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs., occasionally.
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl, and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently.
  • Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently.
  • Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Large and complex project experience preferred.
  • Understands application of joints sealants, waterproofing, firestopping, air barrier, and concrete restoration practices.
  • Must be able to lead a team with respect and dignity.
  • Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently.
  • Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task.
  • Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best for the task.
  • Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best-in-Class.
  • Proven experience in leading teams in multiple remote regions.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Moderate to elevated risk of exposure to unusual elements.
  • Moderate to elevated risk of safety precautions.
  • Moderate to high exposure to jobsite environment.
