Position Summary:

The Cloud Engineer - Architect will assist in building HBS Cloud Engineering Services department with a focus on architecting customer solutions utilizing the Multi Cloud platform.

This role is critical to our success in building a Cloud Center of Excellence, enabling customers to migrate to AWS.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
Ability to plan and lead migrations from on premises data center to AWSExperience in building and operating a Cloud Center of ExcellenceTroubleshoot Enterprise level environments to enable customer to resolve technical issuesImplement cost optimization strategies on AWS platformAbility to discuss, whiteboard, and deliver hybrid cloud solutionsParticipate in departmental, strategic, and budgetary planning processes.Continue professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars, and conferences.Track and report on department performance against established metrics.Responsible for managing transaction profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction ratesSupport strategic sales opportunities and assist with closing opportunities(Provide a bullet point list of the responsibilities and duties of this job.)Lead AWS cloud architecture and engineering efforts, including designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments.Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions.Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows for cloud-native applications.Provide guidance on cloud governance, security best practices, cost optimization, and resource management.Support cloud migrations from on-premise or between cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and high availability.Troubleshoot issues across cloud environments, ensuring SLAs and performance metrics are met.Engage in incident response and root cause analysis across multi-cloud environments.Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve service delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture reviews, design discussions, and strategic planning.Provide input and support for cloud services deployed in GCP and Azure, including networking, identity management, and hybrid cloud scenarios.Work with teams and clients who operate in mixed-cloud environments, ensuring consistency, interoperability, and adherence to best practices.Help evaluate and implement third-party tools that span multiple cloud platforms.Minimum of 1,450 hours billed per fiscal year prorated based on start date. These charge hour requirements will be balanced against professional development and on the job training.

Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering rolesIaC: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDKCloud Security: AWS IAM, AWS KMS, Security Hub, GuardDutyDeep understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, and enterprise cloud architecture patternsDemonstrate ability to perform comprehensive architecture review using AWS's Well-Architected FrameworkDemonstrate troubleshooting experience of AWS and Hybrid cloud environments
Preferred Experience:
On prem architecture and environment administrationAzure, GCP environment experienceHybrid Cloud troubleshootingSecurity compliance and policy management
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
AWS Certified ArchitectComputer Science, Mathematics or Technology related degreeNetworking Certification - CCNA / CCNP equivalent
Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
Firewall Certification - PA
