This Opportunity:
Communicate information on the wide discipline of SEH services to prospective clientsDevelop relationships with key target clients and provide new client salesPrepare, maintain and execute client strategy plansDevelop a pipeline of opportunities and achieve new annual business targetsRepresent SEH at conferences and professional organizations to expand rand recognition and promote business development activitiesRespond to inquiries from SEH clients and SEH staff to solve community and economic development, and infrastructure needsAssist clients with needs assessment processes, preparation of applications for funding (regional, state and federal funding sources), and provide administration services of successfully funded projectsIdentify scope and availability of financing and interface with funding agencies to assess the feasibility of successful funding opportunitiesAttend client meetings and share financing information that is accurate, current, and available to SEH clientsCommunicate information, both orally and in writing, to a diverse audience including state and federal agencies, local units of government, specialized professionals, residents, and community groupsDevelop project proposals that successfully meet all the requirements set forth by funding agenciesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with local government officials, County, State, and Federal agenciesEnter and maintain current accurate sales information with SEH's Client Relationship Management (CRM)
Essential Qualifications:
Strong experience working with local, state, and federal funding sourcesDemonstrated success in solving community and economic development issues and funding issues, as well as governmental administration, and understanding of how infrastructure projects are fundedAdvanced skill level using word processing and spreadsheet programsExcellent organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload schedulingStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information to all levels of individuals both internal and externalProven track record in business developmentThis position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver's license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH's Driving Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with communities and businesses in WisconsinExperience in working with Wisconsin funding programs, agencies, communities and businessesPlanning level understanding about municipal infrastructurePossess a deep understanding of the private and public markets in the region
