Overview

We are seeking a Firmware Software Tester who is responsible for verifying user interface and machine functionality according to its Design Specification(s). Test laundry equipment, control boards, and any other ancillary controls or systems to validate that the machines are in line with specific regulations, standards and guidelines set forth by Engineering and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Verify operation aligns with machine specific documentation and requirementsUse simulation and scenario testingPerform testing on test boxes and actual machinesAccurately document all test activities, including steps, time, methods, and materialsIdentify and document inconsistencies in issue tracking systemLog progress of control and machine verificationMaintain accurate reports of all testingFinal validation testing prior to design freezes and releasesOrganize and assist with lab machine updatesCommunicate clearly with firmware developers and other software evaluators to ensure issues are identified and corrected
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
High school degree or equivalent is requiredExperience with issue tracking systems, a plus (YouTrack, GitHub)
Skills and Abilities:
Hands on contributor with strong written and oral communication skillsExcellent communication skills to translate complex problems using non-technical termsSelf-motivated Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent time management skillsGood working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to compile and organize findings, comprehensive details, and data retrieved before presenting it to EngineersAbility to work in a project team environmentStrong attention to detail and a focus on business prioritiesWork under minimal direction and guided by project objectives
