ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standardsPerform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessaryMaintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityInspect alarm systems (fire, protection)Maintain all production equipmentClean organize maintenance shop at the end of each shiftPerform PMs on equipment and coordinate with productionComplete work orders when assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Proven experience as maintenance technicianBe able to work in a team environmentSelf-starter and highly motivatedAbility to troubleshoot VFD and PLC systemsBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systemsKnowledge of general maintenance processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devicesAbility to read a tape measure and other precision measuring toolsManual dexterity and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of methods, tools, and equipment of the tradeDetailed knowledge of the principles of internal combustion engines and automotive components, including auto-electric, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbove average mechanical aptitudeExcellent mathematical aptitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to use various hand tools or controlsPhysically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionallyPhysically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequentlyAbility to move around for up to 12 hours per day
