Description:
Diagnose machine and equipment malfunctions and dismantle, repair and rebuild as necessary.
Communicate problems and repair schedules to operating departments.Plan and perform operations to move, position, align, level and secure machines and equipment.Maintain hydraulic, air, gas, water, ventilation, cutting/welding, overhead lifting and power transmission systems.
Requirements:
Broad knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to perform general maintenance duties.
Sound knowledge of necessary techniques to align and fit shafts, bearings and bushings.Proficiency with variety of measuring and leveling devices.Completed apprenticeship in maintenance or similar education and experience.Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., work in awkward positions and at heights.
