Position Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for the general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: safety, quality, production, maintenance, and shipping and receiving.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
Understand and model the company's Core ValuesDirect and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of labels Plan, organize, direct, and run successful day-to-day operations of the Little Chute PlantReview production schedule and manufacturing orders to ensure inventory requirements and staffing requirements are met to fulfill the customers' requirements, while operating at the highest efficiency possibleEstablish and monitor overall plant performance for safety, quality, waste, and production noting trends and areas of improvement.Develop and execute manufacturing budgets and cost-effective systems for supplies, materials, labor, and inventory to ensure efficient and profitable operationsWork with the Safety Manager to ensure all members of the team are aware of the safety policies, have received the proper training, and support a safe work environmentWork with Human Resources on all hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations concernsCommunicate and work closely with regional sales force and remote support staff (Customer Service, Art, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, etc.) to reach company goals and objectivesFoster an environment of continuous learning and improvementInspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctionsObserve work and monitor other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standardsPartner with Training Manager to advise on employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workersDevelop and promote team members to fill leadership positionsConfer with other leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between shifts, departments, and sitesKeep records of employees' attendance and hours workedRead and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputsMaintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and be prepared to report out on production resultsConfer with human resources and management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievancesRecommend or implement measures to improve safety, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiencyRecommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, and promotionsEnforce safety and housekeeping regulationsInterpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workersOther duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience:
One or more years directly leading a plantBachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) or Associate's Degree in Business, Operations, Management or related field or equivalent work experienceDemonstrated strong experience and proficiency setting up, troubleshooting, and operating a narrow web flexographic press
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) plus years of experience in manufacturing as a Press OperatorFive (5) plus years of experience in Supervision or ManagementKnowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma processes
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
High School Diploma or GEDMust be proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and CRM systems
